PINK POLKA DOT DOUBLE RUFFLE LEGGINGS

So is everyone ready for spring?  I know I am.  Beautiful pictures like these  inspire me to make more and more pretty Easter dresses and create some beautiful clothing for the upcoming season.  Just lovely these shades of pink and green.   This is a perfect combination.

I am sure most of you heard that we went through a terrible winter storm this week.  I really did not make much out of all the warnings, because in all my years living in Florida, I have not witnessed snow, or ice for that matter.  However, the weather people were very accurate when it came down to the severity of this storm.  I spent Tuesday watching the icicles form on our cars, house and the trees.  In less then a few hours are temperatures dropped almost 40 degrees.  It was a scary afternoon and yet so lovely to wake up to white winter wonderland on Wednesday morning.   The kids were so excited to go outside and play in the snow and ice.  We did not get much snow.  It just got too cold too fast.  We managed to survive through the night.   We did not lose power.  We had surges all day, so I kept the machines and computer off to avoid any damage being done.  Everything  in the panhandle was shut down from Tuesday thru Thursday.  I am happy to say that the officials did a great job by urging employers to close their businesses.  I am sure that was not an easy decision, but it is better to be safe then sorry.

I spent the last day working on leggings - red, brown, pink, orange, and aqua.  Eight pairs to be exact.  Here are a few pictures of the other colors I worked on.

Kim, yes I love to use the knits from Riley Blake, and the pattern is from Create Kids Couture. I don’t like too many layers of ruffles, so I only add two.

Those pink polka dot leggings are the cutest things ever!! What pattern did you use? Do you use Riley Blake knits? I haven’t sewn with knits but am ready to try it soon. I may not get a chance until this summer when school is out although maybe spring break!!
