Happy Madeline Monday….

I hope everyone is enjoying this wonderful Spring weather as much as I am.  It definitely makes getting up in the morning so much easier, when the sun is shining through your windows.  I took it a little easy this weekend, and headed outdoors with the family.  It felt good to plant some new shrubs, and get my hands dirty.  After being couped up in the house with three sick children (yes including my husband), the fresh air felt very nice.  I managed to finish up this dress first thing Saturday morning.  Yes, it is the Madeline in a size 2.

Sometimes it helps to see the dress not modeled to envision how beautiful it will look on your own child.  These fabrics are so dainty and girlish, and layered as they are with ruffles in the back, this dress is so beautiful.  I know that my customer will love this dress, especially when she sees her little girl in it.  It’s funny, because I get giddy just thinking about it.  As a matter of fact, Saturday evening around 10:30pm, I decided to recreate these gorgeous ruffles in a pattern that I have been dying to try out……..The Bobkin Bloosom Nappy Cover.  Well, I will let you be the judge…..IMG_9508

Love these little bum ruffle covers!  So cute.  I wish we had patterns like this when my little girl was so young.  Olivia waddled all day in her diaper.  Anyways, I am hoping to get a shirt done one evening to match these lovely bloomers, and then I will add them to my site.   I think they are darling, and especially for the summertime, when the little ones wear dresses or tops.  What a wonderful way to cover those ugly diapers.

Last but not least, and most importantly, I woke up to this little lovely face on Sunday morning.  I just love it.  I adore this dress, but to see it on such a cute baby just makes it so much better.  I really enjoyed getting this picture on Sunday, and it really put me in such a good mood.  Thank you Raelie Priester for thinking about me.  This is exactly why I love doing what I do.
