Today was a busy day……working on a clients dress and Wash Day. No time for anything else. What a bummer! Right? So I took some pictures of this outfit which I had made for Olivia in early July. I told you that one of her favorite short patterns was the Ruffle Short. These orange gingham shorts are a favorite of hers. She will wear them for three days in a row if I let her. The fabric is especially soft and comes from a local childrenswear fabric company. All she needed was a matching top.
You may think the top to be sort of plain after all that yummy color I showed you yesterday, but sometimes simplicity is best. In this case the fabric with all the bikes did not need anything else, so I left it alone. The pattern I used was Fair and Square by Tie Dye Diva Patterns. I have wanted to test this pattern all Spring, so I was glad that I finally got the opportunity . I love the square neckline and the endless possibilities of this pattern. I wonder if anyone has added flutter sleeves? Would that not be cute? The pattern shows you how to make a dress and a top, which I think is great. I believe she even has a doll pattern for this one. That was the first question Olivia asked me when I handed the outfit to her. Maybe I will find time for that tomorrow. LOL.
