Oh no, is summer really over?

Other then vacation, pool fun, and enjoying my children’s smiles and giggles, I have been busy with another project.  We may be moving in August.  It is a huge project, which involves some demo work and renovation work.  A real HGTV project. I know, I am so excited.  I cannot believe it, so I won’t until I know it is really happening.  Nothing is set in stone yet, so I don’t want to jinx it.  I will update you once I know more.

20160721-IMG_0192Other then that, we are getting ready for SCHOOL.  Yup, in less then four weeks the kids will be heading to school.  Can you believe it?  We have already shopped for school supplies, and shoes.  Of course, I took my daughter shopping for clothes, but believe it or not we found NOthING!  A few tops, but that was it.  She actually said to me “Mom, you will have to make me something!”  That is music to my ears.  She is your typical pre-teen.  She wants things from Justice.  She actually requested shorts and dresses this year.

I realize that I have been concentrating on more baby items then dresses for the larger sizes.  It is not always easy to offer dresses that every preteen- and teenager want.  We get more requests for the smaller sizes.  We decided to set up a section for the BIG GIRLS, and hopefully you will like some of our choices.  As for our newest addition – the BLUEBERRY FLORAL DRESS – my daughter requested simple and sweet.  She prefers no sashes, no ruffles, and only beautiful fabric.

The dress is a classic bodice made out of a japanese cotton floral print.  Very expensive, but beautiful quality as you can see.  The prints are unique and gorgeous.  Very colorful, but impressive.  I love them, and I tend to hoard these fabrics since they take almost a year to arrive after I order.  This dress has a circle skirt, which gives the buyer a lot of twirl effect, without all that weight.  The back has three buttons to close the dress, and a small flutter on the shoulder for just a bit of cuteness.  We also shortened the dress by three inches to give it a little bit of modern flair.
