Surprise, Surprise….

Well, well…..I finally had the time to create and design. What a wonderful week this is turning out to be! Here are some sneak peeks of my Fall/Winter releases from the rest of the Avalon group. I finally turned this lovely fabric into dresses, managed to get a photoshoot finished, and guess what? I still have more to show. Whew! or as Gomer would say “Shazam!”
I love this line of fabrics…full of brown, red, orange and green tones. It is called Tapestry from Fig Tree Quilts. If you have not visited her website, then I suggest you do so quickly. She designs such beautiful fabrics.
Anyways, the fun part of putting these fabrics together is finally finished. The hard part is wondering whether the design I chose was really the best I could do. Anyone else ever have that problem. So once I finished these two dresses, I played around in Photoshop to see what other type of pattern I could have used. Tell me what you think?
I am a big fan of classic design, so out of curiousity I wanted to see what the dress would look like without the flutter sleeves and a classic bodice? I am a very visual person, so I have to see it to make any sense out of it. I am still not sure which type of dress I like best. It depends on the occasion and the age of the child. So I thought I should just ask my readers, which one do you like best? The flutter sleeve dress has an elasticized back, which I still gravitate towards since it allows the child to grow with the dress. The classic bodice has buttons in the back. Both are very pretty, but it is still a hard choice.
I will show pictures from each dress, and give you more detailed information tomorrow. Thanks for reading, and Have a great day!
