The Blossom Dress

[vc_row][vc_column width=”2/3″][vc_column_text]It is pretty bad when your schedule is dictated by the weather, but that is just the way it is, and I have gotten used to it in the last five years.  It is January, and even in Florida, we experience cold winters.  Last week we had temperatures in the teens, and when the weather finally warmed up, we had rain and skies full of clouds.  I cannot expect to take Olivia outside to model a dress in cold temperatures, nor will I.  So when the weather man said  last night that we were supposed to have a beautiful Sunday with blue skies and lots of sunshine, I pushed everything aside to get this dress done.  I knew that it was my only chance in the next 10 days to photograph her.  Although I worked through the entire weekend, I was a bit late on getting outside.  The sun had already begun to set, which adds a slight blue tint to the pictures.  I hate that.  I so prefer sunny skies. I guess I will have to photograph this dress again in the future, but for the time being I am quite happy with Olivia and what a great job she did in modeling this dress.[/vc_column_text][vc_single_image image=”7567″ img_link_target=”_self” img_size=”large”][/vc_column][vc_column width=”1/3″][vc_single_image image=”7565″ img_link_target=”_self” img_size=”large”][vc_column_text]This lovely combination of apricots, pinks, aqua, and gold is precious for summer or a special occasion such as Easter.  The dress consists of a tiered skirt, with an added ruffle which adorns the skirt in a white/gold polka dot.  The bodice is a classic peasant style pattern in a gorgeous salmon color.  It will be available in sizes 3-6mos-12yrs.[/vc_column_text][vc_single_image image=”7531″ img_link_target=”_self” img_size=”medium”][vc_column_text]I had this dress planned for several months now, however I have not finished making hats or crochet flowers for the hair.  I promise I will have all that ready within the next two weeks.    On top of this dress, I have one more planned for Easter – a very pretty turquoise and pink dress with very large floral designs.[/vc_column_text][/vc_column][/vc_row][vc_row][vc_column][vc_single_image image=”7537″ img_link_target=”_self” img_size=”Full”][vc_column_text]My next few blog entries will be all about Easter.  I will be posting pictures of all the designs that I have added to my shop.  Lots of pretty pictures.  I hope you will like them.

I would also like to mention that I have a 2-3 week turnaround right now, however I am expecting a 4-6 week turnaround time once February arrives.  I am going to try my very best to add some inventory on the new dresses, and I am going to try and avoid too much stress this year.  Hopefully, I will be able to manage the orders a bit better, and make everyone happy at the same time.[/vc_column_text][vc_button title=”Click here to go shopping!” target=”_self” color=”btn-info” icon=”none” size=”wpb_regularsize” href=””][/vc_column][/vc_row]
