The Ultimate decision…..

So wouldn’t you know it, that once I make it official that I am going to release a dress on Sundays, I don’t have one to show. I do have a great excuse though. Due to the weather last week, I really had to finish up some orders.
Designing dresses really is a lot of fun. The only time I run into problems is when I feel like I have a deadline. Nothing is fun when you have an approaching deadline. The stress and pressure just mounts with each passing hour. I finally decided that I would put together a new dress, and if I did not finish by Sunday, then so be it. I spent about 2 1/2 hours dragging fabrics in and out of rooms, finally putting together what I thought would be an interesting mix.
Beautiful fabrics. So girly, so beautiful. I really really loved this combination. That is what needs to happen when you design something. Now I had to decide on a pattern………and that my friends was the end of the story. It was just not going to happen. I was stuck. After about 90 minutes, I knew I had five options…….
The classic design (#1) was my best seller, followed by the peasant dress. I wanted to make the flutter dress (#4), but I loved #5. I finally decided to let my fans on FACEBOOK decide. I really had fun watching as the numbers came in. I even got a few orders waiting. So many people participated, and I was not expecting that at all. In the end, #5 got the most votes, followed by #3 (totally unexpected), and then #1. The peasant dress came in last. Interesting……..very interesting.
On Sunday morning, I counted the votes, and went straight to work. I decided right then and there, to make at least a few of the styles in order to give my customers some options. Why not, right. These fabrics were so pretty that it would be a shame not to make lots of pretty things. Why settle only for one design? I think you will like the pictures of this new dress……you will just have to wait to see them.
